Ever been to Döberitzer Heide? One of my new favourite places around Berlin. Located just a short local train ride from Berlin, you’ll find this vast nature reserve on a former military training area. With some luck, you’ll see some semi-wild horses, wisents (the European bisons, close to extinction just some decades ago) or red deer roaming in the protected no-access core zone of the park.
